Become a verified Afrikoni supplier

Afrikoni is the protected trade platform for African suppliers who want to reach global B2B buyers without paying a subscription, listing fee, or pay-to-play tier. Onboarding is a one-time personal conversation with the Afrikoni team; commission is taken only when a trade actually completes. Your storefront, products, and trade history live on a domain that AI search engines, AI agents, and procurement teams actively crawl and cite.

How does supplier verification work?

You are personally onboarded by the Afrikoni team — business validation, product review, and a direct conversation before going live. Most suppliers are listed within a few business days of the onboarding call. There is no fee for verification — it is bundled into the platform commission. Formal multi-step KYB checks (sanctions screening, beneficial-ownership disclosure) are the next-phase upgrade as Afrikoni scales.

What does Afrikoni cost suppliers?

No subscription. No listing fee. No quote-response fee. No KYC fee. Commission of 3% – 8% of trade value is deducted from supplier payout when a trade settles. Heavy commodity trades sit at the lower end (3%); high-touch art/textile trades at the higher end (8%).

Why list on Afrikoni vs. a global directory?

African-trade-native KYC, escrow-protected payment by default, AfCFTA duty optimization surfaced inside every quote, AI-ranked matching against real corridor intelligence, 28-language native UI, and a buyer base that has explicitly opted into verified African sourcing rather than treating Africa as a global afterthought.

What support do I get?

Onboarding specialist for the first 30 days; in-app help center thereafter; logistics partnership for corridor coverage; dispute resolution team if a trade goes sideways. AI-generated multi-language product descriptions are available so a Yoruba-speaking supplier can reach a French-speaking buyer without losing nuance.

Frequently asked questions

How long does verification take?
Typically 5–10 business days from when you upload all required documents and complete the video facility verification. We prioritize complete dossiers — incomplete uploads bounce back the same day with a checklist.
What documents do I need?
Government business registration, beneficial-ownership disclosure, tax certificate (or equivalent jurisdiction-specific document), and a short video walk-through of your production facility filmed on a phone. The full checklist is in the supplier signup flow.
Can I list my business if I'm a sole trader or a cooperative?
Yes. Afrikoni verifies cooperatives, women's collectives, registered SMEs, and incorporated companies. The KYC process adapts to the legal form. We don't verify drop-shippers or resellers without on-the-ground production capacity.
Do I have to be exclusive to Afrikoni?
No. Afrikoni doesn't require exclusivity. Many suppliers list on multiple platforms; Afrikoni adds the verification + protection + AI matching layer to whichever leads come through Afrikoni.
Which African countries can I sell from?
Every AfCFTA member nation. Active onboarding is deepest in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia, Morocco, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, and Côte d'Ivoire — but verification is open continent-wide.
